Horien Biotech, a leading brand in biomedical devices, has been releasing data on its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) corporate sustainability performance, demonstrating the company's long-term commitment to its core ESG values and the concrete results of its environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance practices.
• Environment (E): 40kg of Marine Debris Removed During Earth Day Beach Cleanup
On April 22, 2025, in response to Earth Day, employees of Horien Biotechnology spontaneously participated in a beach cleanup at Li-shui Fishing Port in Taichung, removing 40kg of marine plastic and disposable tableware waste. They traveled to the event site together on a company-arranged low-carbon bus, putting the concepts of plastic reduction and carbon reduction into practice.
• Society (S): Combining Professional Promotion with Public Responsibility
The company dispatched R&D and professional teams to multiple domestic medical exhibitions to showcase its medical-grade collagen product applications and innovative R&D achievements to medical institutions, strengthening industry-academia-research collaboration and community exchange. This included actively interacting with clinical experts at events such as Medical Taiwan and the Dental Materials Exhibition in May.
• Corporate Governance (G): Transparent Internal Operations and Continuous Improvement
Upholding corporate social responsibility, the company has transformed the ESG concept from a slogan into concrete action. In the future, we will continue to integrate ESG metrics into corporate operations and decision-making processes, strengthen information disclosure and auditing mechanisms, and enhance stakeholders' trust and confidence in the company's governance performance.
Sustainability Outlook and Future
Development
We will continue to regularly prepare and
publish ESG sustainability reports in subsequent years, deepening our alignment
with international professional standards (such as GRI guidelines) and
strengthening disclosure and tracking in areas such as employee occupational
safety and environmental management. In line with the inclusion of listed
companies in Taiwan in the sustainability reporting requirements, the company
will also comprehensively improve the quality of data disclosure and complete
the submission of the previous year's sustainability performance data by the
end of August.
We firmly believe that through internal and
external communication and collaboration, and continuous improvement, we will
accumulate more milestones in the three major aspects of ESG in the future,
jointly charting a more forward-looking development path for environmental
sustainability, social prosperity, and corporate governance effectiveness.
