Horien Biotech (7814) was
listed on the OTC market on the 16th. Benefiting from increased shipments of
its core collagen medical devices, its consolidated revenue in June increased
by 209.29% year-on-year, and its first-half revenue increased by 55.78% year-on-year.
Furthermore, three of the company's collagen medical devices simultaneously
obtained the highest-level Class 4 medical device marketing authorization from
the Thai TFDA, further boosting its expansion in the ASEAN market.
Horien stated that driven
by growing demand in Taiwan, the United States, and overseas markets, shipments
of regenerative medicine-related products continued to rise, pushing up June's
revenue significantly and maintaining an upward trend in operations. With its
official listing on the OTC market, the company will leverage capital market
resources to accelerate product development, expand its global market presence,
and enhance its brand competitiveness.
With its operations steadily improving, Horien has obtained Class 4 (highest level)
medical device marketing authorization from the Thai Food and Drug
Administration (TFDA) for three of its products: "Horien Extracellular
Membrane," "Horien Collagen Bone Graft Matrix," and "Horien
Collagen Matrix." These products are primarily used in periodontal and
bone tissue repair, filling of oral and maxillofacial bone defects, wound care,
and hemostasis.
The company stated that Thailand is a
crucial medical and aesthetic market in Southeast Asia. Obtaining three Class 4
approvals at once signifies international regulatory recognition of product
quality and R&D technology, and will help accelerate market penetration in
Thailand. Further Class 3 medical device certifications in the Philippines and
Vietnam are expected to be obtained subsequently, further completing its ASEAN
footprint. In addition, its bio-ink products are planned for entry into the European
market by the end of the year, continuing to expand its global operations.
Haichang's independently developed
"biodegradable ureteral stent" has obtained a Taiwanese invention
patent and will subsequently apply for patents in the United States, Europe,
and China. The product has completed sample development and entered the animal
testing phase. The company points out that this product is expected to
alleviate the clinical pain point of traditional ureteral stents requiring a
second surgery for removal, possessing the potential to capture the high-end
urological medical device market.
In addition, collagen regeneration patches
developed using decellularization technology have entered the pilot production
stage, targeting the surgical and orthopedic tissue repair market, becoming a
new growth driver for the future.
To strengthen its supply chain layout,
Haichang's subsidiary, Shengli Biotechnology, has signed a memorandum of
understanding and cooperation agreement with Taiwan Sugar Corporation and
Taiwan Livestock Corporation to establish a medical-grade raw material supply
chain that complies with ISO 13485 medical device quality management system and
ISO 22442 animal tissue medical device risk management standards. This will
enhance its raw material self-sufficiency and support future global market
expansion needs.
Horien Chairman Tsai
Kuo-Tien stated that listing on the stock exchange is an important milestone in
the company's development. In the future, the company will continue to deepen
its layout in dental and surgical medical devices, and promote operational
growth through high-end regenerative medical devices and international market
expansion. With the successive acquisition of overseas licenses and the gradual
harvest of new products, the company's operations are expected to maintain
steady growth.
